Volunteer Stupa

Service

Diamond Mountain is the perfect place to make a commitment to your spiritual growth through the practice of service. The natural peace of our remote setting and the ability to work next to fellow spiritual seekers is an ideal foundation from which to launch or refocus your spiritual path.

Volunteers serve 30 hours per week on average, in the areas of hospitality and cleaning, maintenance, landscaping, cooking or special event-based projects. Weekends are free to relax, meditate and explore local attractions. If you’re looking to go deeper in your own practice and connect with a supportive community of practitioners, this is the perfect opportunity.

We offer several formal Volunteer service programs.

If you’d like to serve at Diamond Mountain outside of our formal Volunteer service programs, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator directly:

Testimonial - Melanie Webster

"Nestled in the Chiricahua Mountain range is a valley that holds Diamond Mountain. With one hand in nature and the other in modern comforts, it is a place to come to embrace peacefulness. You can feel the busyness in your life melt away as the wind blows around you, allowing your mind to slow to its normal pace and to connect with your heartbeat. Every house is outfitted to a minimalist standard, but it is everything you need. Each has a space for your practice with cushioned seating and room for yoga, full kitchens, clean and efficient washrooms, and natural sunlight from all sides. It is an oasis in the desert, with temples to visit, libraries in all the common buildings, and endless nature to nurture your spirit.

As a volunteer, you are afforded the opportunity to serve with helping on a variety of tasks and given ample time for your own practices. You are always treated with respect and kindness, becoming part of the family of staff as you work alongside them. The accommodations are cozy, clean, and they have internet, just as you’d find at your own home (minus the distraction of television!) The temperate weather and gorgeous scenery make being outside a treat, and there are plenty of nature walks around, even hikes next door at Fort Bowie. Whether you are planting new seeds for your future lives or healing yourself of the current one, you will find the quiet and wonder both internally and externally at Diamond Mountain."
